Monday Moon Flow

Movement has always been at the heart of my life, providing a doorway to awareness, healing and resilience. My journey with yoga began in 2011 while studying Theatre and Performance in Cape Town, where I first felt the profound impact of an embodied practice on mental and emotional wellbeing. After my very first Yoga class I had an intuition that teaching Yoga was my calling, something that was written in my destiny.

My journey led me to my teacher, Jim Harrington with whom I completed 500 hours YTTC, alongside a range of short courses, including a Yoga for sports training and Adjustments for teachers.

Advanced training took me to Rishikesh, India where I was introduced to methods and practices as taught by the Himalayan Institute of Yoga and Meditation. These principles and breathing techniques are the foundation of the pranayama & meditation practice that I teach today.

Driven by a desire to go deeper I returned to India, where I found myself immersed for 6 years, a time defined by inner study - from leading and participating in yoga & meditation retreats and embarking on treks & pilgrimages within the Himalayas, to undertaking Reiki training and 300 hours advanced Yoga Synergy TTC with Simon Borg-Oliver in Goa. During this time I completed a further 100 hour advanced level Vinyasa Yoga TTC in Bali with Meghan Currie. I also had the privilege of meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama and joining a series of Ashtanga workshops with Paramaguru Sharath Jois.

These experiences taught me the importance of "practical spirituality": keeping the practice balanced, purposeful and safe for the modern body. I am so grateful for having had such an enriching journey so far with invaluable mentors.

Since moving to the Uk in 2022, I have been teaching regular classes and workshops across Gloucestershire, leading retreats and facilitating at festivals around the country. I am currently collaborating with my long term teacher and mentor, Jim to create a Yoga Teacher Training, in Goa. My teaching is influenced by the Yoga Synergy method and my approach is fluid, grounded and intuitive, encouraging lightness with commitment and a sense of joy and compassion with dedication and devotion. Witnessing students transform on their journeys is deeply rewarding and I believe my purpose is to spread these magical healing benefits of Yoga.

I am passionate about creating an embodied, sustainable practice, supporting individual needs and helping you move with stability and ease, while fostering a strong sense of connection and community through yoga.

Restore balance and deepen your practice with a sequence designed to nurture and down regulate. Monday Moon Flow is a fluid, grounding practice created to provide a therapeutic counterbalance to the intensity of more dynamic styles.

Inspired by Matthew Sweeney’s Chandra Krama (Moon Sequence), which combines Yin practices with Vinyasa, this class is my own personal interpretation - blending my background in Yoga Synergy with restorative, intuitive movement to help you recalibrate for the week ahead.

A Supportive Practice for Every Body 🧘‍♀️ This sequence is highly adaptable and inclusive, designed to meet you exactly where you are. It is an ideal space for:

General Wellbeing: A slow, steady pace for all bodies giving the opportunity to unwind.

Recovery: Intelligent movement that aids the body through injuries or physical ailments.

Cyclical Health: A gentle, grounding immersion during pregnancy, postpartum, or menstruation.

What to expect:

Fluid Movement: A sequence that prioritises joint health and spinal mobility using Yoga Synergy principles.

Targeted Release: Deep work for the hips and lower back, leaving the body feeling awakened, released and anchored.

Meditation and pranayama techniques bringing mental clarity for the week ahead.
