The mapped location & address of the studio can be found at the bottom of this page, Main entry is via the blue door on Fountain Street between Global Furniture & Coco's. Just head up the stairs & you'll find us on the first floor.
How do I book onto a class?
All bookings & class packs can be purchased & booked through our integrated online booking system. You'll need to register for an account before coming to your first class - this is so that you can fill in the brief health questionnaire & sign the studio waiver.
What if I need to cancel my booking?
All classes currently have a 24 hour cancellation policy - outside of this window, your welcome to cancel or amend your booking by logging into Team Up. Within 24 hours of the class start time, any charges or credits will not be refunded.
Do you have space in an upcoming class?
All of our classes can be booked flexibly & don't require you to commit to a set number of sessions; because of this, availability in the classes can vary week by week. We recommend that you register with our online booking system - once you have an account, you'll be able to see the number of spaces still available in each upcoming class.
Do I have to be new to use your 30 day introductory offer?
Not at all - even if you've been a student here before, you're welcome to try the 30 days for £30 offer at any time. The only limitation is that you can only use it once per person (so you may prefer to wait until a period of time where you know you can make the most of it!). When you purchase the membership, your 30 days will begin from the day of your first booking.
how much are your classes?
You can try a single class for a drop in price of £12, or take advantage of our introductory offer of £30 for 30 days of unlimited classes which gives you access to all of the classes & is a great way to try some different styles & teachers.
If you're looking to attend classes regularly, we have a number of membership & class pack options available that mean the more you practice, the cheaper it is per class. You can find out the details of all of these options by taking a look at our pricing page.
Can I attend if I've never done yoga before?
Definitely - if it's your first class, just let your instructor know at the beginning of the session. Our classes are open to all levels & modifications are often provided across the postures, allowing you to practice at a level you feel most comfortable. If it still feels a little daunting, we do offer private classes which you may prefer to begin with until you're comfortable enough to join a regular class.
I'm a complete beginner! where should I start?
All of our classes are suitable for all levels, however we'd generally suggest that our Hatha classes are a great place to start. These allow you to familiarise yourself with some of the postures & get to learn a bit more about your body before progressing onto some of the more dynamic flow sessions. If you're interested in learning more about the alignment & benefits of each posture in more detail, our yoga for beginners sessions do this perfectly. Restorative yoga is also a great way to unwind at a slower pace.
How long are the classes?
Most standard classes at Warrior & Wild is 60 minutes long, with the following exceptions: Monday 9.15am Hatha (75mins) Tuesday 12.05pm Express Lunchtime Yoga (50mins) Sunday Sessions 9.30am (90mins) We know your time is precious so we strive to start & finish classes promptly.
What happens if I arrive late?
It's important that you arrive to your class on time; unfortunately if you are late you will not be permitted entry. This is for your own health & safety but also to minimise disruption to the rest of the class. Please note that refusal of admission due to late arrival will be marked as a 'no-show' on the booking system & you will not receive a refund for the missed class.
Do I need to bring anything?
All props including mats required for your class are provided by the studio, however students sometimes prefer to bring along their own mat.
What should I wear?
It's best to wear clothing that you can easily move in. Some people choose to wear more fitted & stretchy attire, but loose fitting clothing that allows you to move easily is just as suitable. You may get a little warmer in some of the dynamic classes, but it's often good to bring an extra layer to pop on during savasana when your body temperature drop a little.
What is Savasana?!
Savasana, or 'corpse pose' is the deep relaxation period at the end of each class. It can be tempting to skip this part of the class but it's one of the most beneficial elements of your yoga practice so please do try & enjoy!
I can't do yoga because I'm not very flexible...
Flexibility can be a product of yoga & is certainly not a requirement! Your physical practice will develop flexibility, strength & stability; it is the perfect antithesis to modern living where we are often stuck behind desks, driving cars & living a more sedentary life than we'd like.
Is there more to yoga than just the physical benefits?
Yes! Asana (the physical postures within yoga) can help stretch & strengthen every muscle in your body & can certainly prove a challenging workout at times, but the benefits of a regular practice extend far beyond this. The wider elements of breath practice, meditation & mindfulness can have an unrivalled positive influence on your health & wellbeing.
How many times a week should I practice?
The benefits of yoga can be felt from your first class, but as with many things the more you practice the better you'll feel! Come as often as you enjoy. If you are keen to develop a more regular practice in times outside of our timetabled classes, we also offer private classes to fit around your schedule.
Should I eat before a class?
It is important to make sure any food is digested in plenty of time before practicing yoga, so we don't recommend eating anything substantial within 2-3 hours of your practice. If you're hungry within this period, try a light snack such as a banana or some nuts to keep your energy levels up.
I'm running a fundraiser or charity event, can you offer any prizes?
As much as we'd love to be able to support all of the amazing fundraising activities in the area, due to the high volume of requests we get on a regular basis, as a small business it's not sustainable for us to be able to say yes to all of them & unfair for us to pick some & not others. Instead, we run a number of campaigns & donation classes throughout the year & have previously supported charities such as The National Association for Children of Alcoholics, Read for Good & Stroud Women's Refuge in this way.
Can I come to classes even though i am recovering from an injury?
Yoga can be a great tool for rehabilitation, however it's important that you take responsibility within classes for your own physical wellbeing. You should ensure that you have got the go ahead from a relevant medical professional before taking any classes & ensure the teacher knows in advance of any issues or injuries. If you are already a regular yoga practitioner, you are welcome to take your own appropriate modifications during a class - please just let your instructor know at the start of the session. If you are still in the acute phase of recovery or are not familiar with yoga, you may prefer to look at one-to-one sessions; in a large group session the teacher may not be able to give you the appropriate attention & modifications that would be best for you.
I'd like to bring my friend/family member to a class - can you reserve a place for them?
Anyone looking to book onto a class at Warrior & Wild will need to go through our online booking system - this is so they can fill in the health questions & sign the studio waiver before the session. Once they have an account, they can pay to join the class or begin a membership - unfortunately we can't reserve a place without pre-payment. If you want to manage the online bookings for a family member, you can create a 'family' within your own Team Up account - all the details for doing that can be found here.
CAN I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT PREGNANCY YOGA?

The reset email usually ends up heading straight to your junk or spam folder so make sure you check there if it doesn't come through shortly. If you still don't appear to have had an email through, please make sure you're using the right address!
I'VE JOINED THE WAITING LIST FOR A CLASS - HOW WILL I KNOW IF A SPACE BECOMES AVAILABLE?
In the case of a class being full, you may be added to the waiting list.
If you hold a valid membership with available credits, you will automatically be added to the class. if a space becomes available more than 24 hours before the class start time.
If no valid credits are available or it's within 24 hours of the start time, your space will be reserved & held for an hour & you will receive a notification email - within this hour you must log into Team Up & confirm your attendance at the Class, else it will be passed to the next person on the waiting list or opened back up for general booking.
