YOGA MOVEThis practice is your opportunity to get out of your head & back into your body.
The class blends traditional yoga postures with other, more explorative and intuitive movement patterns. There's a real emphasis on discovering how things feel in your body, rather than worrying too much about the shapes you're making or what your practice looks like. The mellow and mindful pace of practice ensures plenty of freedom to play & explore. We'll also incorporate simple but effective breath awareness practices that will help you to settle both the body & mind. This the perfect place to start if you're new to yoga, or are looking for a well rounded practice. FLOW DOWNWhen we learn to move the body in time with the breath, we access that incredible flow state that can slow down the noisy chatter of our brain.
Flow Down is your opportunity to tap straight into that easeful feeling with a creative slow flow sequence that is sandwiched between some super chill floor time at the start and end. The class will open with a grounding relaxation and gentle breathwork, before exploring and building up a slow flow sequence. We'll take it back down to the mat to finish with some longer held poses, simple meditations & deep relaxation. Expect a feel-good slow flow experience which will ease into every corner of the body & a wind down sequence that will bliss you out for the rest of your day. YOGA STRONGThis class uses the resistance of your body weight to develop controlled strength & power through your full range of motion.
The class will balance dynamic flows with longer, stronger holds that will build endurance, stamina and resilience, developing the strength and awareness in the body required to work towards some of the more physically demanding asana. We will also weave in softer, more playful practices and transitional to explore different paths of movement in the body. Plenty of options and variations will always be available so you can work at the right level of challenge to suit you. Bring a patient & playful mindset - prepare to work hard, break a sweat, challenge your body and mind, and probably fall over!
