an afternoon exploring what yoga actually is, and whether it is right for you?
For the yoga nervous, yoga newbie or yoga curious, stepping into a busy class can be daunting. You might know that you need a mat & you’re pretty sure there’s some stretching involved. You might have even heard friends or neighbours spouting the benefits they’ve felt since going to a regular class, but beyond that this whole yoga thing is all a bit alien to you.
We get that trying something new for the first time can feel more than a little daunting, but we also believe that everyone should be given the opportunity to know how to move & feel better.
Aimed specifically for students with very little or no yoga experience, this easy-going & accessible afternoon is your chance to get rid of any nerves about attending your first class in the great company of others who are in exactly the same boat. On arrival, you’ll be guided through the whole Warrior & Wild process like a brand new VIP – from where to put your shoes right through to a run-down of the different props you might end up using in a class.
You’ll be introduced to the basic concepts that make up a complete yoga practice including some of the basic poses, breathwork & relaxation, including learning a little about how & why each of these practices might benefit you. In addition, there will be time for discussion, where we’ll explore:
- What yoga actually is & whether it’s the right choice for you - How to get started & which styles of yoga will best suit your needs - What to expect from your first group classes - Why not all yoga is created equal!
You’ll leave fully equipped with the knowledge & confidence to make the most of & enjoy regular group classes!
Sunday 29th March 2-5pm
